hi, i'm the whole studio.
Biliby is a one-person mobile app studio in Shellharbour Village. The “one person” is me — a dad, a recovering fintech founder, and the resident IT department for two small, opinionated humans aged six and three.
The name comes from when my eldest was four-and-a-half and could not, for the life of her, pronounce bilby — the small, big-eared Australian marsupial. It came out “biliby” every time, and it stuck. So now there's a company.
Before this I co-founded a payments company, which is a polite way of saying I spent a lot of years worrying about whether very large amounts of money would arrive at the correct destination. Building small apps for small problems is, by comparison, an absolute holiday.
The apps aren't random product ideas — they're things we needed at home: colouring pages from our own photos, a spelling helper so “how do you spell…?” wasn't on repeat all afternoon, something to settle whose turn it actually was, and an interactive metronome to help my neurodiverse kids. If any of that sounds like your house too, they're yours to try.
